Welcome to Mygale Australia![]() Launching onto the Australian market in 1995, Mygale won its first Australian Formula Ford Championship with Greg Ritter in 1999. Back to back championships came, this time with Luke Youlden at the controls, winning in 2000. In 2001 Jamie Whincup launched his motor racing career in the Mygale Formula Ford with a third place in the Australian Formula Ford Championship.
After leaving the Australian Formula Ford championship between 2002 and 2005, Mygale won on debut in 2006 at the Oran Park Australian Championship round, with the only Mygale in the field. The chassis went on to win three of the next five rounds in 2006. 2007 saw Sonic Motor Racing Services take the unprecendented move of switching to the dominant Mygale chassis after ten years under the Van Deiman banner. Sonic won on debut with Tim Blanchard at the 2007 Clipsal 500, leading the Championship from the first race. Winning Mygale’s third Australian Formula Ford Championship at Phillip Island that year. |
